As with the rest of the world, this year has been a crazy ride. There has been so much going on with many decisions in some bid to try and work out how best to deal with such a crazy situation.

The last two I wrote a blog post was two years ago talking about the end of my journey with my little girl. Now I’m a year and a half into my breastfeeding journey with my second. What I have learnt in the last two years has changed me in so many ways including concerning breastfeeding.

Having had a birth at two different hospitals within the same county, I had a huge difference in how things started. The support out of hospital was drastically different too. One things was clear, that while breastfeeding pillows might help those already on their journey, it won’t help those who need it most. The difference in how breastfeeding was approached less than 20 miles from where I lived before was crazy.

I started making pillows because I thought that it might help others but I don’t think I can do that selling breastfeeding pillows. I don’t think I could even manage to make a difference if I made them by the hundreds and gave them away.

The world seems upside down currently so I’ve not had the time to get to my machine even for fun and silly projects like I was used to. Having two monkeys kept me busy but add in covid and my world is a hectic mess.

I am keeping myself busy. Twinkl has been a life saver. It has been great resource that helped keep my oldest busy and learning lots of new fun things.

In the evenings I have been getting into D&D both as a player and Dungeon Master. With my days so busy focused on stopping two separate mini humans running about and causing chaos, it has been such a relief to dive into a different world. It has also be a great way to stay social while unable to actually see anyone.

I have so much to catch up on but I know one day I’ll finally get caught up. Till then it is good to  be busy keeping two young minds active, engaged and learning.

There will be updates soon. For me it is deciding a focus and direction. I hope that you all stay safe.
